There are many ways to get involved.  You can organize a fundraising event, join a committee or share

your talents.

Help us raise money:

The are lots of fun ways for individuals or groups to raise money.  All donations are greatly appreciated.

  • Change 4 Change Campaign - Click here to see the brochure
  • Movie Night – Rent a new movie or your favourite classic and invite your friends over for a movie night!  Ask each person for a donation equal to the cost of the rental.
  • Kids – you can help, too! – Set up a lemonade stand, a neighbourhood carnival or movie rental
  • night with your friends.

  • Schools – Promote global awareness with a penny drive or book sale.

  • At the office – Set out a bowl of small treats and a donation tin. Ask coworkers to make a donation when they eat a treat.

  • College/University students – Plan a fundraising ‘Reggae Night’.

  • Garage/Yard Sale – Clean out your basement & support JSH at the same time!

Volunteering:

We always need volunteers to help with our work.  In Canada, we currently have active volunteer committees in Peterborough and in Ottawa.  If you live near these communities and would like to get involved, contact Marisa at jsh@nexicom.net or (705) 743-1671.   If you live elsewhere and want to help, you could still lend a hand - contact us for details.
